The calm and modest demeanor of Jazz and Classical Pianist PHILLIP GELBACH turns out to be a clever disguise. The Russian maestro also is part of the Jazz/EDM music group FILTER KINGZ and shares the brain trust of the bi-Continental Hip Hop music collective CHRONIC ELECTRONIC ORCHESTRA.
As Mr. Gelbach effortlesly glides from Beethoveen, to Ray Charles on anything with black and white keys (he plays a mean B3 organ!), few people know that he has been instrumental in producing some of the best "underground" TripHop, Drum n bass and techno house in the 90's. The FILTER KINGZ'S "Se Acabo" hit the top of the euro charts with a downtempo remix tribute to 50"s Latina legend LA LUPE.
Philip Gelbach currenty lives in Australia and tours often. Seeing him play live is a must for piano aficionados and Classical music lovers everywhere.
